the analysis laboratory
Analyzing & testing different components is based on the in-depth experience of our engineers, which enables us to deliver the quality demanded by the market at maximum efficiency. The result corresponds to a high international quality standard, which offers safety, reliability and essential transparency. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our analysis laboratory or sales team.
Multi-stage analysis process
In our in-house laboratory, specialists work with high-precision and modern laboratory instruments to test your components for their marketability. We work conscientiously according to the highest international quality standards and are certified many times over. Our comprehensive analysis process consists of several steps, including:
Outer Package Inspection
Analysis of packaging and label according to JEDEC standards — ESD, MSL and original label inspection.
Visual Part Inspection
Inspection of mechanics, surface finish, serial numbers and external damage using high-precision instruments.
Visual Label Inspection
Authenticity check of part number, batch code, manufacturer logo and further markings.
Solderability Test
“Dip and look” and “wetting balance” tests to assess solderability.

Frequently asked questions
Before a first order, almost everyone asks the same four questions: which standards we test to, how the scope of testing is decided, what happens to the component in the process, and what is documented at the end.
01Which components do you test — and to which standards?
We analyse electronic components: integrated circuits, processors, transistors, capacitors and comparable parts. Testing follows the international standards AS6171 and AS6081. Our laboratory is certified to ESD IEC 61340-5-1:2016 and works IATF 16949 compatible. The inspection of outer packaging and labels additionally follows the JEDEC standards.
02Do I always have to order all ten analysis steps?
No. The analysis process comprises ten steps — from the inspection of the outer packaging to moisture measurement. Which of them make sense depends on the component, its origin and your question. Describe the case to us and we will tell you in advance which steps we recommend and what they cost.
03Will my components be damaged during the analysis?
Most of our procedures are non-destructive: visual part inspection, label inspection, analysis of the mechanical package dimensions, the optical shadow effect mode as well as X-ray fluorescence analysis (XRF) and energy-dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX) leave the component unchanged. Procedures that attack the sample — the solvent/remarking test and the solderability test with “dip and look” and “wetting balance” — are carried out on random samples, and we agree the scope with you beforehand.
04What do I receive at the end — and how do I get started?
You receive a documented test report: traceable, related to the steps actually carried out and prepared according to international standards. The fastest way to start is to send us the part number, the quantity and — if available — a bill of materials or data sheet. Questions about test scopes, standards and laboratory reports are answered by our quality management, questions about procurement, consignment and the supply chain by our sales team.
